33 AND 34 weeks!
Sorry, sorry! I know I am so behind on posting. I've received several text messages reminding me ;) I'm combining weeks 33 and 34 because they were busy ones!
Week 33:
• Appointment with our midwife... Everything continues to be super normal and healthy! I didn't gain any weight this appointment and the baby is measuring slightly on the smaller side, but the midwife said there is nothing to be worried about.
• We got a new camera! And I am so excited about it. I've always wanted a "photographer" camera and I can't wait to start using this thing. First I need my friend Jesse (a real photographer) to teach me how! There are so many buttons!
• Baby G and I made our way to Michigan last Thursday and had the most amazing time. See below for photos from the amazing baby shower our family had for us! I was so overwhelmed with all of the love and support from family and friends that came out to celebrate this sweet little baby. He or she is one spoiled little babe. We are feeling very lucky to have such amazing people in our life and can't wait for you all to meet Baby G! I got to spend a really nice night with my parents in Holland for dinner and a boat ride (Thanks Uncle Dan & Aunt Kathy) and got to squeeze on my stud muffin Liam. Weird to think the next time I see everyone we will have a BABY! It was definitely hard leaving, but I certainly was anxious to get back to Denver and see Andy. Would I be a total cheese ball to say that 4 days away seemed like forever and I really, really missed him?!
Week 34....has been a whirlwind! I got back from Michigan Monday night and headed straight up to Breckenridge on Tuesday for a photo shoot. It was a quick trip, but being on location is one of my favorite parts of my job so I was happy to be able to go. I'm finally back home and looking forward to some much needed rest and relaxation! That is if I can take my mind off getting this baby nursery finished. Our rocking chair came in this week so all we need is a dresser. Our nice big guest room in the basement is not so big anymore with all of baby things accumulating. I really need to start putting them away and organizing. I'm hoping one of these days my crazy, compulsive need to have that room perfect is going to kick in....I don't know what is wrong with me! As always, thanks for reading, and I promise next weeks post will be on time. XO

32 weeks!
We had our first baby shower Thursday night and it was so perfect!! It was amazing to have so many people come celebrate with us and we were completely humbled by all the love, care and concern for Baby G already. My friends Jesse and Lisa were such great party planners and transformed our backyard into a scene straight from anthropologie. The baby pool caused some rumbling, but everyone got to place their bets and the boy/girl guess ratio is pretty split down the middle. There was lots of thunder and lighting adding t the ambience of the night, but the rain held off and the entire night was beautiful. We are some lucky parents-to-be!

31 Weeks!
Total weight gain | 25 pounds! Well...this could go two ways. The midwives have a starting weight 5 pounds heavier than I've been going off of. So it's either 20 or 25 pounds that I've gained. Either way, my current weight is at what I weighed in college. Except this time, there is a baby in my belly and not just alcohol and late night food :)
Maternity clothes | Still going strong with those jeans...and living in maxi dresses/skirts and GAP maternity tops. I think I have every color and every style of the tanks and v-neck tees. Serious lifesavers those things have been...
Movement | All the time! Last night Andy referred to watching the baby move like watching a bobber in the water. Except this bobber is a real tease because he's not catching anything!
Belly Button in or out | Well....the top is out and the bottom is, well....kind of flat? Okay fine....it's OUT. I do not want to admit that, but it's mostly out.
Food cravings | Popcorn! And mint chocolate chip klondike bars.
Sleep | I've been sleeping pretty good except for the one time a night bathroom break. That one is a little tricky because getting out of bed is starting to become more difficult. Andy happened to be slightly aware of my 3am wake up this morning and was kind enough to give me a little push to help me up and out of bed ;)
More on our appointment this week | We are starting to go every two weeks, so not much to report. Everything looks, sounds and feels great-so I think that means we are good :)
PS. I am getting SUPER antsy for my trip back to Michigan next week!!!! I am so excited to see everyone and not to play favorites, but my anticipation to squeeze little Liam is growing. That little man is growing up so fast. I just want to kiss him and play with his curls.

30 weeks!
30 week mark! I'm all about the mental countdown and making it to the 3's is a big one being the last (that is assuming I won't need to reference week 40 for very long). We kept super busy this week with my brother Sam in town! It was so nice to have him here and we crammed a lot of stuff into his short visit. We hiked on Friday and I felt super lucky to have two very concerned bodyguards at my side every inch of the hike. If one of them wasn't clenched onto my camel back from behind the other was in front of me with their hands held out waiting to catch me. They were very cautious of my baby belly and it was super sweet to watch them both react to every move I made. I thought about faking a fall a couple times to really make their hearts drop, but I just couldn't do it to them. See pictures below!
More from the home front...My wonderful, handy man husband has decided to do a little remodel/update to the bathroom today . Well, he decided yesterday and is carrying out the task today. I am so very grateful for this man and the capabilities he has of fixing up just about anything and everything in our house, but I'll be honest that I am not a huge fan of the noise or dust it creates. We have a mutual agreement that every room he touches gets vacuumed and mopped when he is done, so I do look forward to a clean (and updated!) bathroom this week :)
Fun Fact: Baby G is the size of a cucumber and is strong enough to grasp a finger (also strong enough to do some really strong kicks and jabs in the middle of the nice!)
